Some Couple of days ago i and a neighbour was ‘by chance’ to meet each other, i had to use the word by chance as it seems to be the appropriate word since its our first meeting;). After to and fro discussion of various matters, we unknowingly find ourselves discussing about Computing in which the Person told me about his DESKTOP COMPUTER which when POWER ON, doesn’t Display Any Visual on the Monitor.
I asked him since its a desktop computer if the MONITOR CABLE had been properly connected to the CPU. He gave a reply but the answer was a bit awkward.

” I tried to connect the Monitor cable but i couldn’t locate Its Port on the CPU” he replied
” are you sure you checked very well? I asked again
of course i do.. i don’t even think the Monitor port exists on my CPU he added

His last sentence dropped like a PUZZLE.
Is it possible for a DESKTOP CPU not to have a PORT where the MONITOR CABLE can be fitted into? I thought.
I then prompt him to lead me where the PC is, for me to see things myself.

Upon reaching there and after checking the CPU, i was able to LOCATE the MONITOR PORT and showed it to him. I asked him if he had checked the place i just discovered before he AFFIRMED that his CPU doesn’t has the Port.
Surprisingly, He said he did check the Port but THE MONITOR CABLE didn’t fit in and thats why he THOUGHT maybe the PORT is not for the MONITOR.

After Solving Puzzle Number 1, I then told him to show me the cable of the MONITOR so i could check it probably it was the cable that needs to be looked into.

He brought the CABLE and after INSPECTION, I found out that the MONITOR Cable’s Male TEETH which was to be fitted in the FEMALE PORT of the CPU had been damaged [ with some of the Teeth broken and few others bent ].

I told him to replace the Cable with a Proper One and if impossible to replace, he should Get a NEW MONITOR.
So if you had trouble with your COMPUTER Not Displaying ANY VISUAL or the CABLE doesn’t Fit Into the CPU PORT, i very much hope these post will helps.
