This post might sounds awkward to you that
why would someone on a custom domain thinks a free domain is better? don't be ;). I was chatting with a blogger-friend Edwin Akwudolu of High Technology and we were discussing about stuff relating to blogging. Then i asked why he hasn't got a custom domain yet for his blog (cos i known him that he has what it takes to have more than 4 custom domain at once *winks*) and he told me he aint ready yet. I'd knew he'd could buy more than 4 domains at a time so i think he's doing it for a reason. .
Below are the list of advantages of free blogger domain over custom domain as compiled by me. ;)
Advantages of Free Blogger domain Over Custom domain
Free domain Name: There are millions of blogs all over the internet and i bet most of them are hosted on blogger platform. This is because you get your own domain for absolutely free. There was even a day am doing research and i noticed some blogs has even been abandoned on the cyberspace for more than
4years, this wouldn't have been had it been blogger domain are paid for.lol

*. Worry Less about Hosting Issue: One of the things that worry a webmaster is how to find a trustworthy company or website that can host their blog. Hosting is one of the things that frustrates a site-owner. As for the blogger platform, [you don't need to host your blog whether you're on a free domain or custom domain] whilst this is not so, on the wordpress platform. Like i said earlier, hosting issue can cause a site to be down (especially when the traffic is much) and the host server are unable to hold it. I could remember a community website for bloggers like a year+ ago called bloggers.com, though am not sure but i think the site went down due to some hosting issue because the traffic is too enormous[i really missed the blogger social-networking site]. But with Blogger Platform, your blog is hosted securely and absolutely for free no matter how heavy your blog traffic is!
These are the two points i could gather for now. Do you think there are some other advantages apart from the one listed above, please do not feel hesistate to share it via the comment box.

You are quite right. Custom Domain is not also bad. It depends on what the owner is up to. The end justifies...
